FISHEYE WINS AWARD FOR INNOVATION!! PRESS RELEASE: MONDAY 9 OCTOBER 2006

Ponsonby IT company Fisheye was announced the winner of the Innovator Award at the 2006 Northern Sustainable Business Awards, held recently at the Auckland Art Gallery.

The annual awards are run by the Sustainable Business Network – the national organisation designed to promote sustainable practices in New Zealand and support businesses on the path to becoming sustainable. Entries for the awards are selected from organisations partaking in the Sustainable Business Network’s Get Sustainable Challenge.

The Innovators Award recognises a sustainable innovation or invention from the Northern region that has economic, environmental and/or social benefits contributing to sustainable development.

Fisheye, is a young and funky IT services and consulting company focused on the Small Business (SMB) market. They are a team of pro-active people, passionate about promoting business sustainability. The team of seven is run by founder and managing director Jeremy Hunt.

The Innovator Award acknowledges Fisheye for its forward thinking in incorporating sustainability principles into its developing business. They have developed procurement, transport, waste management, energy efficiency, social and HR policies which incorporate the principles of sustainability throughout. This is already helping to create competitive advantages.
